US Forest Service blaze line. The USFS always uses red paint on its tree blazes. I have a college degree in Land Surveying and often ran property lines for the Forest Service as well as the Appalachian Trail in the 100 Mile Wilderness area.

I am always going out into unknowed (to me) places I have never explored before, fully prepared to spend several days in the remote mountains and forest come what may.
